Do one of the following: · · From the Menu bar, click View, then click Storage Devices. From the discovery-tree, select the logical drive whose information you wish to view. The Logical Drive Summary page is displayed. Renaming a Logical Drive You can rename a logical drive using the Logical Drive Summary page. The name can be up to 32 alphanumeric characters and the underscore, dash, period and space characters. Do one of the following: · · From the Menu bar, click View, then click Storage Devices. Or Right-click on the selected logical drive in the discovery-tree, select Rename and type the logical drive's new name. EZPilot - Management Section Page 23 3. In the Name field, enter the new name you wish to assign to the logical drive. The name can be up to 32 alpha-numeric characters and the underscore, dash, period and space characters. Click Apply. Viewing a Logical Drive's Disk Details Using the Logical Drive Summary page you can view the information about the logical drive's disk. You can view disk details such as the disk's name, bus slot, status, health, size and so on. Do one of the following: · · From the Menu bar, click View, then click Storage Devices. From the discovery-tree, select the logical drive whose disk details you wish to view. The Logical Drive Disks page appears. Figure 20: The Logical Drive Disks page Expanding a Logical Drive Using the Logical Drive Summary page you can expand a logical drive. Do one of the following: · · From the Menu bar, click View, then click Storage Devices. Click Expand. EZPilot - Management Section Page 24 Or Right-click on the selected logical drive in the discovery-tree and select Expand. The Expand Logical Drive dialog box appears. Figure 21: The Expand Logical Drive dialog box 3. The units drop down box next to the Enter Expansion Amount field can be used to change the size units. The size can be displayed in gigabytes or terabytes (if more than 1 terabyte is available). Click OK. Note: If there is already a file system defined on the logical drive, expanding the logical drive will not expand the file system. You must use a disk management tool to expand the file system after the logical drive is expanded. 4. A dialog box appears informing you that the logical drive was expanded. Adding a Second Disk Shelf There are two ways to add a second disk shelf: · · Adding New Disks to a New Disk Group Adding New Disks to the Existing Default Disk Group Adding New Disks to a New Disk Group All of the disks in a disk group must be of the same type (FC or FATA). At least 8 disks must be added in the second disk shelf to create a complete new disk group. Close EZPilot Manager on the management server and power down the EVA4100. Add the new shelf and associated disks to the EVA and the controllers' drive loops. [. . . ]
